Just to let everyone know, this forum automatically times users out after only three minutes of inactivity. You will need to click on a tab at the top of the page or a thread every few minutes for your name to remain in the "active users" window.

This does not affect your ability to view the forum and as soon as you click on something, your name should reappear.

I bring this to your attention more for the benefit of guests and new members as it can appear that no one is in the forum when in fact there may be members and other guests here. they have just been timed out.

Board owners have asked support staff to change this feature as this is something set up by Sparklit, which active board owners have no control over. Until such a time when support decides whether to reset this automatic timing out feature or not, do not assume you are alone here. Click on a tab or thread and then hit your refresh button to see if that times anyone back into the active users window at the bottom of the forum.

Hello Writers and Employers,

I am in the process of developing a new template for a professional directory for a more polished look and an easier way for employers to  navigate through our writers directory.

The directory remains free for writers for listing in at this point. however, I may need to make changes such as having writers send their information to me so that I can enter it into the main-frame of the directory. I will sort this all out in the next few days and update you all about any changes decided upon then.


Until then, I need to ask writers to hold off on submitting their biographies and links to the directory thread for a few days until I can get everything worked out. Thanks.

UPDATED: 6-7-09. All the bugs have been worked out and writers can now submit their bios to the directory. Visit the New Writers Directory thread to grab the link to the directory to make your submissions. Thanks. Adm.Julie

Hi All!

I added a "Live Chat" button to the forum this afternoon. (Furthest tab to the right on the menu bar.) I thought some of you might enjoy the opportunity for some real-time chatting with other members when you are here. I know I am looking forward to it.

The "cafe" which has yet to be re-named is still a place where you can create new posts on whatever is on your mind, and members can comment on them when they visit the forum.
The live chat is just an addition to the forum that I hope everyone will enjoy.

I want to wish everyone a super and safe 4th of July holiday!!!
