I am just making my afternoon rounds of the forum, my blogs, the website, and checking all 4 of my email inboxes. One of these days I am going to have to look at integrating all of my email accounts into one.
I signed up for a free trial with a online outfit promising to get me a top listing in search engines, Google, Yahoo, etc within 8 hours. Placed a free ad there too which is suposed to increase my site traffic within 24hrs. We shall see how all this plays out. If it turns out to be a good and useful tool for promoting your website with, I will pass along all the details after my 5-day trial period has ended.
I signed up with a different traffic generating site and my experience thus far has not been great. I have submitted two "issue" tickets to them and have not received a response back from them yet. In the second ticket I told them they had better get their sh&* together and deliver on what they advertise or I was going to label them as a scam and warn as many people as I could about them. I do not know if I will get a response to that second message or not.
This has given me an idea for a new thread for the forum though. How about we start a Scam Alert thread? Whenever forum members come across websites and companies with fowl practices such as misleading ads, pyramid schemes, etc. they could be listed here in the forum to warn others about them. I know I appreciate receiving the "truth" about deceptive companies so that I can steer clear of them, or at least know that I need to research them more before joining.
Today is a quiet writing day as far as creating content for clients is concerned. I have a couple of writers working on projects due at the week (Friday-for the Write Station writers with those projects to get done and back to me, who may be reading this.)
I am planning on writing a few posts for both of my blogs this afternoon and evening, and 1 or 2 free articles to promote my biz with, as well as a couple of new items for the forum.I am sure I will get to some more tweaking of my website too.
Those are my writing plans for the rest of the day in brief. What are yours for today?
I had better get to some of that planned writing now. I will check back in here later.
Have a Good One!

It is day three of my five day trial and I am not all that impressed with the results thus far. My Google listing has only increased by one. The old site is in Yahoo search, but not the new site yet. Did not find my site in the other top search engines either(this was supposed to happen within 8 hours!) For the free ad I had to agree to placing their ad snippet on my website which has given plenty of free advertising for them. As for me? I have only had 8 visitors redirected to my site from this free ad network. Heck, I could have gotten more than 8 people to visit my site just by asking friends and contacts from the various writing board and social sites I belong to.
Marketing for business online is no different from offline business marketing-it is not easy! It is a lot of work and plenty of tried and failed techniques too. Even after all this time doing it. I often come across ones that I have high hopes in but that fizzle in the end. Oh well, I am adding to my knowledge about what works and what doesn't right? It is possible that had I tried the paid membership verus the free membership, I might have received better results. However, I highly doubt that with this particular program at this point. I will share my end results with all of you in two more days. I will also share the name of this biz marketing company and a link to it for anyone who might be interested at that time.
I need to get back to my writing. I am writing an article about gardening for my Glad Living Blog. I am dividing myself between writing articles to post to both blogs, gathering new information for this forum, bidding for new writing jobs, and finalizing work proposals with 2 new clients. Some days it can be tough trying to keep up with it all. Especially on the days when I am writing articles for clients and editing other writer's articles. Most of the time though I really enjoy all of my writing work and feel very blessed to have found my way into net writing.
Hope to see and chat with all of you here later!

Like you Julie, I've received ads for free listing and submissions but have not tried them out. Don't really know how effective it is. Is anyone here familiar with word press dot com? I've started a blog there but the learning curve is steep. The moderators though are a big help. They answer questions within minutes. Still trying to improve my blog in terms of layout, appearance, etc, but I'm slow with CSS!
I am using blogger for my 2 blogs, but I am also considering starting another one or five using Word Press. I have one hint for you. When I want to do something that blooger does not seem to want to let me, I use Google search to find answers for how to do it. I include " on a blogspot blog" in my search queries so that my results will show how to do what I want to with my blogger blog. Many times when I do this, I also see results for the same questions as mine, for users of wordpress blog system. This can really help to shorten the learning curve. You can also email or PM me your questions any time. If I can help you to figure something out I would be happpy to share what I have learned and that likely will work on your wordpress blog too. I am still wrestling with adding an audio player and uploading my mp3 files to my blog.
Here is the final analysis of my free trial that I promised. I was not impressed at all with EngineSeeker. In five days I received only 11 imprressions and zero clicks. I find it hard to believe that "Make Money Writing Articles Online" would not capture the attention of at least a few people who are searching for work at home jobs, which is the catagory this ad was listed in. I could be wrong and a paid version might have worked better. However, I am not willing to pay $249.00 to find out if they could do better or not.
Take what you will by me sharing the results that I experienced using this particular service with you. I am not meaning to "hate" on this company. I was just not very impressed with what they promise to users of their services, versus what I got is all. Have a great afternnon everybody!Adm.Julie
